Sunday Morning Ride - Osteen Diner

Rode out to Osteen Diner early yesterday morning for breakfast and got a moto ride in before the rain came. The rainy season has hit with a vengeance here in Florida after a bit of a drought and after getting caught in torrential downpours the last couple of days, I was looking forward to a nice dry ride. As soon as we got there, we were greeted by the Osteen Diner Rooster strutting his stuff...

Game recognizes game....

Grabbed a traditional breakfast for cheap at a very biker friendly place. It makes sense as CR 415 is a main artery that takes you from Daytona to Orlando and intersects with other major country roads in the area (CR 46, CR 44, Maytown / Osteen Rd). Because of this the road is heavily traveled by motorcycle and its a common sight to see a ton of HD's in the parking lot of bars / diners on this stretch of road. If you're looking for some bourgeois "seen and be seen" brunch action, stay at Dexters. This place is straight up roadside diner and the fare and the atmosphere is rustic old Florida. Just our kind of place...

Alan Degenerate and ktb surrounded by Tchotchkes...

The boys checking out the over the top Triumph Rocket parked next to out bikes. I dont know why I didn't take a picture of that massive beast...

After a good breakfast and plenty of coffee, we rode back to Orlando via Debary (west on Doyle) and then south on 1792 into Sanford. We broke off 1792 north of Sanford and took Markham Woods Rd south back into downtown. Got home with plenty of time to spare before the rains came in...

Wow!

Saw this on The Vintagent this morning. Pretty amazing turnout!

"Nearly 15,000 motorcyclists in Paris swarmed on June 18th to demonstrate against repressive 'safety' laws targeting our favorite mode of transport. The French Federation of Motorcyclists, combined with Moto Magazine, made the call, and the response was enormous. While it may seem like 15,000 scooters mass at every stoplight in Paris (especially in summer), such a gathering of motorcyclists demanding their rights is unprecedented in the city."

Simplicity

I know this one been making the rounds but I'm really loving this. Just loving the simplicity / utilitarian aspect of it. Sometimes, its the shit you leave off that makes it dope...

On the same wavelength

Here are the two edits from the Sugarloaf ride last weekend. It's pretty awesome that both of us were feeling the ride in an introspective way. :)
