Good turn out last night

Bikes, beers and fucking burnouts!

Looks like we might get a reprieve form the rain this weekend. If you can swing it, get out and ride! Swiped off Kustom King.

Thursday Night Bike Night aka Brendons B-day bash

Its thats time of the week again. I'll be there and I'm hopefully dragging ktb and Two stroke taco boy with me.

The Sandwich Bar

Tribute to Japan Honda CB450

This is a really interesting set up; with the cylinder heads mounted backwards and all. I also like how the builder (Fred Kruger) ran the exhaust underneath the seat. I wonder how hot your ass gets because of that? According to the write up on Return of the Cafe Racers, the builder plans on taking this out to the salt flats later this year.

Full write up on the build

Close Call

I think Two Stroke Taco ran with this crew back in the day...

Test Monkey

Just in time for the rainy season! I received the new De Haro windbreaker from Chrome Industries last Friday. It's a packable, lightweight, rip-stop field jacket perfect for those sudden rain showers we get in the area. I'll be putting it through its paces the next few weeks; both for motorcycle and cycling applications. I'll let you know how it holds up.

Made some nice progress this morning. Got the carbs back from PJ last night. He even did me a solid nd polished them up a bit. Looking all bling and shit now. I installed the carbs and moved on to the battery box.

There's no way the pods are going to fit with the stock box and since I bought a much smaller battery, it needed to be modified in order to work. Applying Ockams Razor to this problem, instead of fabricating something from scratch I basically cut the bottom of the battery box and then cut out the extra parts of the frame in order to shorten it up.

Its a perfect fit and now there's no guessing how to mount it on to the frame. All that's left to do is tack the bottom on to the battery box frame and we should be good to go. We'll see how much tuning I'll have to do to the carbs. I'm stocking up on spark plugs for the time being...

Its never done.

Started working on the carb and battery modification. PJ from Cafe Moto is tweaking the carbs to address some of the low idel issues I was having. I'm also replacing the old battery with a smaller one which is going to require some modifications to the battery box. Yardley from the VNM and I are going to be putting that new torch of his to use. Here's a a quick mock up of what I'm aiming for:

New / Old battery

I'll post some more pictures once I get this together...
